any one else here a natural born night owl?Seems my circadian rythym is reversed from the rest of humanity... I've been like this since I was a child, I have the most energy during the dark noon, and am almost always drowsy during the day, no matter how much sleep I get at night... I mean it's good for magick meant to manipulate anothers will and all... but it's a royal pain in the ass since I usualy work during the day, and that's when the rest of the world functions, not to mention I live in a pretty rural bible thumping area, so there's not much of a night life, liqour stores close at 10pm around here 9 on sundays and the bars usualy 11 or 12... only thing open after that is 7-11... oh the sorrow  Anyone else feel my pain?

Re: any one else here a natural born night owl?
I can't stay wake for shit during the day... I'm tired as hell at work... then I get home to feel a nice breeze of energy taking me to 3 to 3 am. Sometimes I think I'm just "tired" of work, but I have always prefered the night over the day. I hate to go to sleep, but then I hate to wake up. But it does provide excellent time for magic and doing things I otherwise would put off. Sometimes not having anyone to hang out is good for productivity, less distractions :)
Re: any one else here a natural born night owl?
I am! I work late shift at my job (6p - 2a) so it's not so bad for me. The people round my area thump the bible pretty hard (and working in a restaurant, I'm invited to 8-10 churches every Sunday) The night life is nonexistent in rural North Carolina (my county finally dropped prohibition LAST YEAR).
When it's 2am and I need entertainment, I know my ps3 is there for me :)

Hello again, Shape-Shifter
Thank you for sharing this. I understand where you're coming from on all angles. I lived in Cape Breton Nova Scotia which is very much like the area you describe, and it's larger counterpart Halifax (where I live now and moved to because of this) is not so much different. I have shared with Anomoly my inability to sleep at night and often have the drowsy desire to sleep during the day.
Where are you located, if it is okay that I ask?
Anomoly: I am jealous and I hate you. With the utmost respect, of course. Trapped where I am trapped there is nothing.... plan on moving soon. Weird thing that Michigan keeps popping up with friends and otherwise. Still trying to find my next stop.

Whats up Loki,
I too share you disposition to the day time and have since my youth. Liquor stores close early around here (Detroit) but the bars stay open till 2am, some 4am. the casinos however never close. I work in a bar so the night thing does not conflict with my work schedule at all. I have found a good way to balance this out is to live by a meijer, they are always open and they sell boose till 2am. Adult swim is always there to comfort me in my times of sorrow, I recommend a healthy dose of Squidbillies for the wandering mind. Detroit is full of night life, but I dont generally venture out to experience it unless a good Dj is spinning or an event catches my eye, I just recently saw Combichrist, hell yeah buddy. I frequent burning man parties with the local burners, some of the best paries I have ever went to. Do you play poker? The casino is always there to occupy my time when I get the itch. Where exactly do you like? I try to stay away from the bible belt, so much confusion between the denominations for no reason. Is this the reason for you affinity with Satanism which you mentioned in your introduction? It would make sense if so.
ok bye,
Anomaly
