Bansihg through a paradigm of laughter

The other night I created a new banishing. The basis of it is banishing by means of blocking outlets of purpose in the mind, thus creating laughter.

The way I created the banishing goes as follows.

Think of some meaningless phrase... make up some gibberish... I use the phrase "HIPPY HOP"

Now that you have your meaningless phrase you have to deny it all purpose whilst contemplating its purpose.

For example, because Hippy hop is meaningless, to say it is meaningless is to define it. Therefore the mind should wonder in the opposite direction, meaning if hippy hop isn't meaningless it must be meaningful, but that to would be a lie. So the mind continues to create this paradox, denying the phrase of all things and denying it of no things as well, thus creating a state of gnosis in its complexity. When i did this I began to explode with uncontrollable laughter, I let my mind keep looping in every direction of denial, contemplating ideas such everything and nothing, purpose and no purpose, I would even say to myself hippy hop is neither of these things and then deny the phrase of neither as well. As the paradox was created i would contemplate how it made me feel then i would deny that feeling... Now two days after creating this phrase, I explode into laughter when i say it out loud.

So to break it down... if hippy hop isn't anything... and it also isn't nothing... it isnt both of them things nor is it niether.... than what is it?

In the future I may also attempt to use this phrase to charge sigils...

Re: Bansihg through a paradigm of laughter

Excellent post.

I only tell lies.

Re: Bansihg through a paradigm of laughter

That is a very good quote... Peter Carroll explains the process through neither/neither and the invocation of Thanteros. However, he recommends first contemplating the singular aspects of dual principals, then the correlation of them both and then neither of them. For the purpose of hippy hop or should I say lack there of, I get right to the point... hahaha no point at all.

Re: Bansihg through a paradigm of laughter

Your post reminded me of this quote:

"All things are true in some sense, false in some sense, meaningless in some sense, true and false in some sense, true and meaningless in some sense, false and meaningless in some sense, and true and false and meaningless in some sense."

When I start thinking about that, and how it turns Aristotlean logic on its head, that makes me laugh uncontrollably.
