Fires of Transformation ( Ovayki Fire Ritual I)

Please Note:  Any similarities to any actual or imagined paradigm are purely coincidence & accidental.  This ritual represents a continuation of the elemental fire work that I have been doing for several years with some new ideas generated by the invocation of the elemental fire king, Djinn ( in western ceremonial magic) while in a ritual that included walking various points of the sun.

The general idea of this ritual is to use two things, one: to propel & change intent,   two: using any bad luck, negative aspects in your life, or health issues as fuel for that intent.   This ritual has two versions.  One version is inside without fireplace.  The second version is inside or outside with fireplace/firepit of some sort.   This is the inside no fireplace version.

 

Pre-Ritual:

Materials:

Rubbing Alcohol

Fire Extinguisher

Epson Salts, Sea Salt

Red Glass Bottle (the nicer the better) with a tight cork

Lancets

Cauldron or Fire Proof Container

Various herbs (Further discussion of this coming)

Ceremonial Knife

Pre-Work:

Use the lancet to draw some drops of blood.  Mix a small amount of sea salt with the rubbing alcohol. Put this into the glass bottle.  Make sure the bottle is about large enough for 1 cup of rubbing alcohol.

 

Sigilize a positive intention with a mantra and a sigil.  The intention should include something like

 

"It is my will to bring about X using all the negativity as fuel for the fire of my desire"

 

Or something similar.

 

This intention should be something you really want to come into your life.  You should memorize the sigil and mantra, as much as possible.  If you do not have time for that, you can use a paper, and write both down.

 

Sigil Magic is a simple method of combining multiple letters of an intention into a mantra or a visual sigil.  Originally this is covered by Spare.  Hands On Chaos Magic by Andrieh Vitimus, covers this extensively and the technique is available through online searches.

 

Set up your workspace for ritual that you can safely have an indoor flame.  This means mixing the same amount of running alcohol with epson salt in your cauldron or fire proof bowl.  Approximately, 1 cup of rubbing alcohol is 10 minutes of flame.   This may set off your fire alarm if you do not temporarily disable it.  For this ritual, you will want a full 3 cups of rubbing alcohol and 4 cups of epson salt.  You may need to put a small stone slab or ceramic tile down to protect carpet or your altar space.  It is very important to clear away physical objects that could catch on fire.  Respect the fire.  You can add positive herbs to the epson salt and rubbing alcohol mixture.  It is beyond the scope of this document to include all the possible herbal combinations, but I recommend solar or fire based plants for this ritual.

 

A combination of Cinnamon, Frankincense and Dragons Blood together are good additions. For practical applications be light on the Cinnamon and Dragons blood, focus more on the Frankincense, it has better smoke tendencies.  At first, I might start with 1 table spoon or less of incense per 1 cup of Rubbing Alcohol.  You can add more of course and that is something you can experiment with.

In addition, most of this material is available on Google.

Remember though; when using external sources, the information often conflicts in multiple spots so do use your best guess when adding herbs.

Multiple PERSON NOTE:

IF there is more than 3 people in the ritual, just add the amount of Epson salt (you’ll be adding the rubbing alcohol later).  Ideally even in a group this ritual should take a little less than an hour.  IF there are more than 4 people, this ritual will take 10 minutes over an hour per person, approximately.  You can add more cups of rubbing alcohol with additional cups of epson salt if you need a longer flame.  Do test the rubbing alcohol and epson salt in a fire before doing the ritual.  NEVER ADD MORE rubbing alcohol to a fire once it starts burning.

Be sure to have the fire extinguisher available at all times.

 

 

STAGE 1 of Ritual.

Banish by your preferred method.

One simple banishing is just to imagine a flow of light rushing down around you. Banishing theory and practical banishing exercises are covered in more extensive detail in Hands On Chaos Magic and I have the Angelic Life Empowerment CD which is available directly via email at andreihvitimus@gmail.com.

 

State your intention out loud.

 

Take the bottle and imagine any negativity or pain going to into the bottle.  Rub down and away from as if brushing the negativity away into the bottle.  Imagine the bottle being like a magnet that sucks in all the negativity into it.

 

A simple technique I use for this is to imagine the bottle sucking all the colors, textures, sights and sounds and feelings into the bottle.  Usually, imagining the negativity as some sort darker (black or sick looking) or inflamed color and texture stuck in your body. Then pushing that color and potentially sound and pushing it into the bottle as the bottle pulls.  Adding a sucking or whoosing sound in your mind is a great addition.

 

After the negativity from your, personal field.... start to concentrate on the negativity on parts of your life that are not immediately attached to you.  Really spend some time on this. Let anything that comes to mind that is negative around you and affects you come into mind and push that into the bottle.  Again, taking those memories and imagining it fully with all five of your senses in a small sphere in front of you.  Then jam this into the bottle as well.

If you know how to use a divination system, and have used some of the techniques in Hands On Chaos Magic (or other sources), you can use the divination system to look for problematic areas outside or inside of yourself within your life that you can pull the energy of those events using the divination system as a link to pluck the energies out of your life and into the bottle.  Again, the techniques of using divination systems as energetic links are covered in Hands On Chaos Magic. 

 

A technique I use, is to study the tarot card I draw, which is one of the divination systems I use.  I try to get any impressions I get from a tarot card regarding an issue.  A certain set of sensations, or images will pop up as I meditate on the card.  I will keep going with the meditation until; I have a good handle on the issues the card speaks to.  My next book includes a technique of abstraction where you simply imagine this negative issue has a color, texture, vibe, sound, and even smell and that is how you interact with the issue.  From here, mentally reach out and go through your day to day life and pull any energy that has a similar vibe, color or texture, etc from all around you to what you felt from the issue and pull it into the bottle.

 

So that includes and any all negative spellwork that you believe has been thrown at you, negative encounters that are bothering you, any negative external situations.  All of these become additional fuel for the desire.  If it comes out, that there is a negative attached spirit, this can go into the fire as well, but requires a little more effort and is beyond the scope of this document. You may need to dose the outside of the bottle with some florida water, or rub it with positive herbs or apply positive glyphs.  The bottle will for most people start to feel increasing negative.  Keep going with trapping things in the bottle until you believe you cannot possible fit anymore.  Remember this ritual can be repeated progressively to cause larger transformations.  Do what you can. You may at this point, decide you need to add more rubbing alcohol to the future fire.  DO THIS BEFORE LIGHTING ANYTHING ON FIRE.  Add equal alcohol and equal epson salts.  This means a longer ritual, however.

 

STAGE II: Fire Ritual

Call any helpful spirits or guides you have into your space.  If these entities are attuned or work with fire, that would be ideal.  Really call them into your space.  Of course, the techniques of evocation are fully covered in Hands On Chaos Magic, and Andrieh Vitimus's personal training sessions and classes.

 

At this point, I usually will smudge myself with a positive herbal bundle, sage, palo santo or some other pleasant, positive and powerful herb to further disconnect from what’s in the bottle.  If you are more experienced, there are several helpers you could call in at this point.  

 

Some I might suggest, from my own experiences are:

• Papa Legba ( who will help if he likes you),
  
• Simbi Makaya
  
• Ogun
  
• Other Solar or fire entities that you have good relationship with.

Your experience will be different then mine and each of these entities requires a different set of methods to call them into a space.  In general, these techniques as I said are covered in Hands on Chaos Magic.  More specific and paradigm dependant information would require additional research.  The purpose of the helpers is to help you full transform the negativity into fuel.  It is strictly speaking, not required, but is extremely helpful to do this step.

 

You should have the epson salt and rubbing alchohol already set up and the altar space free of obstacles.  Combine the contents of the glass bottle into your fire proof container.   Be careful to avoid spilling any of the alcohol on you.

 

Light the mixture on fire.  Sit perfectly still while deeply intoning your sigilized mantra and use an athame or ceremonial knife to draw your sigil over the flame.  Use deliberate and slow mantra work and draw the sigil over the flames deliberately and slowly.  As you are doing the mantra and sigil, imagine parts of your personal universe becoming consumed and transformed by the fire.    Continue to sit as still as possible while repeating the mantra and redrawing the sigil over and over till the fire naturally stops itself.  As you keep going with the mantra and sigil, other things might just pop in your mind.  Allow them to pop in, and then continue with the mantra and sigil.   Speak the mantra as if directly speaking into the fire and treat the fire as a great friend throughout the ritual.  AS the ritual progresses, use all 5 of your senses to keep imagining your life transforming in new and wonderful ways. 

 

Whenever I have done this, I have always treated the fire as living entity.  This mental step allows the fire to act as an elemental to further transform the negative issues. Simply, treat the fire as a completely living being during the ritual and this part of the ritual will sort itself out.  Before the fire burns down, I usually put in a few candies to thank the fire itself for assisting.  This seems to make the results of the ritual flow in better each time I do that.

 

When the fire dies down, the ritual is concluding.  Dismiss your helpers in an appropriate fashion and then laugh like a madman using the laughter to banish the space.
