Re: Good sources of info?
Administrative NOTE:
There will be forums for the Orisha, Santeria/IFA, Haitian Vodou, and Palo Monte
We just haven't yet got to the forums yet ( it is on our TODO list)
But as with everything, this is more from experimental perspectives then Initiatory ones ( aka the forums assume no one right way, and are there for people to experiment with)
Hopefully we will have them up and running in a week or so.
Re: Good sources of info?
Try "The New Orleans Voodoo Tarot" by Louis Martinie and Sally Ann Glassman, and the book "Vodou Visions" by Sally Ann Glassman (it's kind of an accompaniment to the deck but not completely. They both stand alone.) Also try the book "Jambalaya" by Luisah Teish. I'll think you will find them all interesting. Another really, really great book, I think anyway, is "The Haitian Vodou Handbook" by Kenaz Filan. As you can tell from the title its not purely New Orleans Voodoo (there is nothing in there about the Orixas) but it's a great book. Good Luck. Information on Voodoo, Vodoun, Vodou, etc...is difficult to find.
