Hi from germany

Hi you,

although I've registered in the forum for quite a while I haven't found time to participate till now(finally my interest into magic returned over the last weeks)
So to introduce myself:
My name is Sarem, I'm 18 years old and live in Bavaria/Germany, so please don't mind language mistakes
I think I had some interest in magic and esoteric stuff since my early teenage time, when my mom took part in an esoteric meditation group.
When I was about 13-14, I read about OBEs for the first time, exercised and had little succes(I was never able to move away more than a few footsteps from my body :| )
At the age of 15 I became a kinda fanatic Franz Bardon nerd and was captured in my own fantasy world for about 1 year, which was quite a hard time for me.
Lost any interest in magic, since I Martial Arts became my new hobby but when I was forced to stop it due to an injury, my interest in magic returned.
At the current, surely also because of my bad experiences with Bardon, I'm not stuck to a specific system or paradigm that much, but moreorless pick up whatever I find appropriate.

Greetz, sarem

Whats up Sarem,

Welcome to the Prismatic Vortex. Feel free to jump in and start some conversations.

I am actually impressed with the sleight success you had with OBE's. Lots of people fail to get even that far. I have found that this type of work takes a long time to master and dedicated daily work because once you start to let those skills fade you have to put in the same amount of work as when you started doing it.

I to was captured in my own fantasy world at one point so don't feel to bad. I think this is essential in some respects if we ever want to branch out and try another truth later on in life. I find it particularly useless as well as evolutionarily hindering to stay rooted in one world view for an entire life span. This situation does not allow for the broadening of the psyche or the expenditure of the minds ability to adapt to any situation which presents itself. I find those who confess that they are right, true or believe in something infallible to be tragically as well as comedically amusing and I am pretty sure that anyone who resists reaching out to possibly understand the world in a different guess for their entire life are more than likely a host to a word virus. Given what I know of memetics.

Have fun,
Frater Anomaly
