Out of Body Check-ListOut Of Body/Astral Projection Check List Your ability to "stand" on the floor rather than sinking through it is the soul's "psychology" at play in the non-physical world. Because nothing ends, nothing begins, and the term "nothing" actually doesn't exist, you are able to do pretty much "whatever you want" in this state. This requires a great deal of experience and knowledge, however, in order to conceptualize your surroundings. Someone who is closed minded, will have a difficult time realizing his surroundings in order to actually remove his self from his body, and even if they could, they wouldn't recognize it. Returning to the body feels almost like being sucked backwards through a tunnel. You get the same feelings all over again only it feels as though they are going "backwards." It is still euphoria but it is mixed with something else that can't be described by words. To me, it's like crossing the true boundaries of physical existence and entering space time. Has anyone else had similar experiences with astral travel?

Re: Out of Body Check-List
Hi Anomaly,
I'll surely try it and I would like to hear any suggestion that you have.
thanks
Re: Out of Body Check-List
I think this is a good place for Andrieh to chime in!!!
I have had similar experiences to the ones you speak of but mine have always been forced or deliberate. You are definitely experiencing an astral projection in my opinion but I am not sure why it is accidental. I would not consider this a problem. Your first move should be to learn how to control it. Through meditation and figuring out a way to make it a controlled act I think you will have a great advantage here. I have had much trouble in this area of magic and I am a bit jealous that you are able to do this automatically. Do some sigil work to bring the ability under control.
I have always found that I am capable of just stopping things like this from happening by a strong assertive declaration of my will. A good example of this would be to say, "I will no longer experience astral projection unless I desire too." Sometimes to my dismay I turn off my abilities on accident. I have a knack for noticing the manifestation of my thoughts on a constant basis which is a reason I have had such luck with sigils in the past. I think that with a clear will and a bit of ambition you can accomplish anything, so give it a try and lets see what happens.
I am full of suggestions so if you need a little more love on this topic give me a shout.

Re: Out of Body Check-List
Hi everyone, new here,
there is something happening to me that I would like to understand, hopfully I'm posting in the right place, if not please redirect me :)
It happens totally out of control ( conscious), and it happens in any situations, can be by falling asleep or vacuumcleaning so when I'm talking with someone: I experiment in the body area where the pancreas is the suddenly presence of a hole, this "thing" seems to function like a blackhole, one moment before I'm totally ok, then I percieve a sound, can be a voice or the radio everything!, or I smell something or I simply think of something, from that moment on in a fraction of a second i log togheter all those sensorial experiences, actually it looks like all my senses make a click, like a domino effect, with the result that a fraction of a second later this hole sucks me away.
I cannot breath anymore, I lose control of my body and I have the sensation that I'm dissolving, like I'm vibrating(?) on a frequency that is too high for me so I'm going to be polverized.
It's never pleasant for me and I am scared everytime it happens cause everytime I think that I'm going to die. How I manage to "come back" I don't know, I think my surviving will bring me back before I get lost.
So do you have any ideas, suggestion that can help me to understand what's going on? Am I living an out of body experience?
I would like to know anything you have to say :|
Just in case you are thinking if I'm clean, yes I am. Just joking. :D

Re: Out of Body Check-List
When you go into out of body states these days - do the pins and needles still hurt??? Or have they progressed to something at least a little less dysphoric?
A lot of my experiences with psychism started when I was 5, so I completely understand the terror of a child and moms coming in to tell you you had a bad dream.
Good post, thank you for sharing =)
Re: Out of Body Check-List
This is something I've been doing for a looong time now, discovered completley by accident when I was probably around six years old... I have had bouts of what the medical community calls 'sleep paralysis' ever since I can remember.... This is the feeling of being wide awake yet unable to move anything except your eyes, and usualy happens right as your falling asleep, or waking up... and very often accompanied by the dreadful knowing that there is an entity without your best interest at heart, hovering somewhere just outside your vision, or sometimes actualy seen as a black cloud, or demonic type of thing, sometimes sitting right on your chest... Some scary stuff... Apperently it's your bodys natural mechanism to stop you from acting out your dreams, some people just happen to stay aware after it kicks in, not usualy by choice... Now If you play your cards right, this is the perfect time to have an out of body experience.
I remember the first time I left my body during one of these bouts, the usual feeling of not being able to move set in (the entity didnt show up until a few years later, but thats a story for a different thread) and I panicked and tried to get out of bed to turn on the light... That's when i felt the pins and needles feeling, defenitley not euphoric to me, dysphoric would be a much better word to describe it... anyhoo, I was finaly able to move, and tried rushing to the light switch to flick it on and ease my panic, only to find that it felt like I was trying to run under water and that I was actualy floating and not running... this felt nothing like a dream, the room looked exactly like it normaly would and I turned around at one point and saw myself lying there... I was spooked beyond belief at this point, I had no idea what was going on, pretty heavy stuff for a 6 year old to say the least!... I finaly made it to the light switch only to find I couldnt do anything to it, which didnt help my panicked state one bit, tried yelling for help... nothing... couldnt work the door knob either... I was terrified. Then everything started to go black and I could feel the pins and needles again, and slowly became aware of the fact that I was lying in bed again, paralyzed... petrified... and BAMN I felt back to normal and could actualy move my meat suit now. I was able to turn on the light this time, scream for help, and open the door... My mom came out and told me I had a bad dream and to go back to bed...
That was my first astral experience... scared the crap outta me but I'm glad it happened, its opened a lot of doors for me.
And ya that check list sounds about right zero-one
Re: Out of Body Check-List
HI Zero-one,
I have had similar experiences with astral travel. Definitly the feeling of being cemented in place, I have found this to be a precursor for astral travel when I do it, sort of becoming aware of a different state of cognition. I once received excellent results by carrying an orange all day and filling it with the intention to travel astrally. before bed I ate the orange then meditated. The seeming simply to appear part of your description coincides with the same experience I had. The room which I did it in was exact in every detail to the room I had meditated in. I made it about 20 steps and then the sucking backwards through a tunnel scenario occured. The only thing which I did not experience is the feeling of pins and needles. Everything else seems to fit with the general experiences I have had with astral projection. encountering other peoples astral doubles has always manifested as an odd experience. One of my friends actually attacked me. No harm done, I merely returned to my body. He seemed very freaked out about meeting me on the astral plain. I never checked with him to see if he had any waking awareness of the situation.
Thanks,
