UNCLE FRED'S RITUAL FOR CHAO-INSPIRATIONUNCLE FRED'S RITUAL FOR CHAO-INSPIRATION This ritual is to bring inspiration by way of chaos into one's life. In this case, it will be a nonspecific, positive eristic force. Designed for multiple people, each should continue at their own pace until all are finished. No reason why it couldn't be done alone though. 0a. Consider the times you have been inspired. Make note of their circumstances and feelings that were aroused (make sure to use all five senses!). 0b. Sigilize the statement of intent using the mantra method. Add "chaos" to the end (that is, "watermelon watermelon chaos, watermelon watermelon chaos"). 0c. Place chairs in the center of the room, backs together and facing outward. The number of participants will determine how the chairs are arranged, but the more circular the better. 1. Banish with the Elemental Pentagram Banishing (see below) 2. The participants will then face the center of the circle and speak the statement of intent. Statement of Intent: This our will to invoke chaos in our hearts to create a dancing star. 3. The participants will sit in the chairs and begin chanting their individual mantras. Chanting should be slow and deliberate. Breathe deeply. Aside from the speaking and breathing, the participants are to remain as still as possible. While chanting the mantra, each participant envisions a chaosphere emanating from the center of the group (i.e. behind you) and expanding outward in all directions. Also, this is a good time to simultaneously remember the times one was inspired. Chanting continues at the same speed and pace until gnosis is reached. 4. Upon finishing the mantras, the participants shall rise and face the origin point of the chaospheres. They will then draw their sphere (or portion of their energy that went into the group sphere) back into their hearts. 5. No banishing! Running time for this ritual is likely to be somewhere between 20-40 minutes. -- Elemental Pentagram Banishing -- The aim of this banishing is to create a "fortress" of elemental energy all around you. For each step, one will face a direction/wall and imagine that wall "filling" with the appropriate elemental energy. When that wall is full, describe upon it a pentagram using the elemental energy. Then push that energy to the horizon. This ritual may take some minutes to perform, but by the time you're done, you've got a nice, clean space to work with. 1. Face East and project Air

Re: UNCLE FRED'S RITUAL FOR CHAO-INSPIRATION
Barely a week after this ritual and damn, things are going great - threw some runes for divination which got me on the right track (started some things that were missing, dropped some things that I liked but weren't working), began using a new system (great results so far) got unsolicited props my skillz. Kicked ass in general....
I hope it works as well for you guys!
Re: UNCLE FRED'S RITUAL FOR CHAO-INSPIRATION
Nope, but we love that sorceror fred.
Re: UNCLE FRED'S RITUAL FOR CHAO-INSPIRATION
I thought perhaps you meant a different sorcerer named Fred...
Re: UNCLE FRED'S RITUAL FOR CHAO-INSPIRATION
HaHa, I read the SOI and didnt get it either. Excellent title
I have a lot going on right now by way of training but I will definitly incorporate the banishing some time soon. I have not worked with elemental forces in some time, since my youth when I flirted with wicca. I received excellent results by way of creating ritual atmosphere with these techniques. I remember a time when I focused entirely on creating auras and ritual atmosphere. I think this banishing will awaken some well needed energy.
Thanks,
Anomaly

Uncle Fred :)
Re: UNCLE FRED'S RITUAL FOR CHAO-INSPIRATION
one last thing. The SOI
comes from Nietzsche
"You must have chaos within you to give birth to a dancing star"
Andrieh's Elemental Banishing or how I ripped off wicca
I just have to add a few details. Creating Elemental energies is covered in Hands On Chaos Magic. It also appears in Initiation to Hermetics (bardon), but my book is a little easier to stomach. This is actually the root of calling the quarters, and appears in the Lessor Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. Calling the four elements around you, effectively says the space is the universe ( since the four elements and directions comprise the universe in those systems).
That said, the idea here is to imagine the wall becoming fully the energy. So for air, so you are pushing air energy into the wall until it becomes air and you use the energy manipulation with visualization and imagination. So perhaps the wall becomes a tornado after it is fully embued with air energy ( forceful air) and you can hear he sounds and vibe of that. After you have the wall fully the elemental, then you carve a pentagram across the wall and then push the pentagram into the merely endless element up till it reaches the visualized horizon while imagining it removing and pushing back all the negativity from the room out to infinity in that direction.
IF we wanted to be more technically correct ( and I will write this up actually), we would draw the pentagrams differently for each wall, by starting at a specific point and doing a banishing pentagram.
This is in LOTS of books on ceremonial magic, but Frater UD's HIgh Magic ( the first onem the second one kinda sucks), has the easiest explanation. The Magicians Compendium also has the materials and summoning directions for each pentagram ( and this is a book I REALLY recommend). For the people in the chicago study group. This actually is the next step that I will be giving people ( and yes we are in a sort of way working up to a lessor ritual of the pentagram :)
