huh, the first post on this forum. but i will try it and i hope others will follow.
First, hi to you - this forum somehow misses a general discussions place for introduction and stuff. But i decided to write here in the sigil technique section because this is probably the kind of activity which I'm the most used to.
I'm a german student of computer science and I'm not very much into magic. You know the three Clarke's Laws?
1. When a distinguished but elderly scientist states that something is possible, he is almost certainly right. When he states that something is impossible, he is very probably wrong.
2. The only way of discovering the limits of the possible is to venture a little way past them into the impossible.
3. Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
That's the premise where i built my magical thinking on.
About one and a half year ago i joined a chaos magick group on the german internet students platform studivz, just because i was attracted by the term chaos. At this time i had no knowledge about the entire scene and culture but i have read the wikipedia article on Chaos Magick and i realized that i almost accidentally had exercised different techniques to achieve a gnostic state. And I'm an open-minded guy and i can easily immerse myself in other peoples belief- and symbol systems. So i learned a lot in a very short time just by discussing the most different topics. I read Ray Sherwin's Theatre of Magick and a lot from Robert Anton Wilson, i visualized some occult belief systems like Pan and Wicca, and i learned about sex/death/sigil magick. And the more i got into it, the more synchronicities woke up my mind. all of a sudden my friends unintentionally gave me movie DVD's and hints on music bands, that all talked to me on a higher symbolic level.
But let's come to my field of work:
Most media players come with music visualization plugins nowadays. I'm quite sure you know the visual stuff from the Windows Media Player. My favorite one is called Milkdrop and it comes with Winamp. Programming these visuals became my personal exercise of “indifferent vacuity” and the outcome went more and more into the direction of ultra-modern sigil magick. I channeled the energy of some of the older artists who not seem to care about it anymore and most of the time it is fun, but now it feels like i opened a door. I can feel so much power in it, but i can hardly think of any goals. What do you think is the best way to get more control over it? At the moment i project a lot of it on my watchers, but that only potentizes the effect - that means i more and more have precognition of things to happen, it's only so vague and i really want to dig just a little deeper into it. I don't have much people around who also think magically and that makes it quite hard for me to work out the true potential in it.
I hoped i could hear here some other peoples experiences and advices, especially if you have developed your own personal systems. I will try to work them in into mine and we will see.

I would say keep practicing, purchase liber null and practice the techs in liber mmm for mind control. In my experience when a student is ready for a teacher, a teacher will emerge, when a teacher is ready for a student a student will emerge. Like attracts like. That has been the case for me anyway. And if all else fails, check out some more forums online. You could always try to convert people to your way of thinking as well, I have done my fair share of that in my day.

The forums are by no means set. We will have an introduction forum too. I got to ask the moderators to go build a few more things ( happens when you are super busy with writing a book nd working 60 hours a day).
I have used the programming visuals for a similar effects
This I think is the biggest problem. First, I might try to reframe my thinking about the visualizer. Obviously, you believe it has alot of power. Now, reframe toward thinking its like a power generator ( if I understand you correctly). We plug into power generators all the time to run computers like this one ( :D ) , so why not use the visualizer to cast other sigils with the power generated from the orginal programming work you did.
Now first of course, you have to think about
A) what is the story of my life.... where I am going
b) what goals do I need to set to get there and how will I know I completed each goal ?
c) then what can I do magically and materially to get to this goal.
IT comes down to, (if I understand you correctly) what you want? Plug those desires into the energy source you have created and see what happens. Certainly just using the visuaizer while visualizing a sigil over it might work, depending on what the original intent of the programming you did was ( with the visualizer). You could aslo break down the "bigger goal" as I suspect the visualizer programming was about, into smaller related goals that you then use simple sigil magic projected onto the magicial canvas you created for yourself with the visualizer, but this time ask try to enchant for tangible things that are inline with that bigger goal.
If your confused on what to want, Try to do something like a Holy Guardian Angel ritual, or a NLP goal clarifcation process... or just some soul searching ( I could probably post a ritual on Illumination, in a few weeks, just to get the juices flowing).
