I recently got the book Hands On Chaos Magick.  I had my resaons for being drawn to it.  I read the part that said what one needs to use the book, and the only thing listed is a journal.  Fine.  I can do that. 

now, after a week of holding salt and breathing, I skipped ahead a bit to the senses. It seems one needs another partner present to do those excercises.  Also, one needs a partner to learn to be a reciever and a sender in the conduit. 
ummm...having a magical partner just isn't going to happen for me.  it's never happened in the 42 years of work I've done with the occult in any postive manner and it's not likely to happen now.  (I can't stand the drama llamas and the snobs in the magical scene here in the Suburbs of Detroit, Michigan.)  I did work with a coven for a year and that went well, but it was a fluke. 

My question is this:  without a partner, is there any way I can do these basic excercises like the senses?  or the more advanced ones like recieving and sending along the conduit? 

I wish the book stated one would need a partner to do basic things.  I would have skipped over it then. (I was aware of the group chapters but those seemed optional in practice). 

I was excited about learning this path and now I feel lost and frustrated.
